See first what is happening nearby! [1.4.7] Monnett Update

Published on September 7, 2026

This one’s a big one. We’ve been heads-down on making Monnett feel less like a feed and more like a place. Somewhere you can actually find people and posts that matter to you, and organize the stuff you post.

Here’s a full scope of what we did in this update:

  • Discover people and posts near you with the new proximity-based Discover feed.
  • Hashtags are in! You can now use them to mark topics in your posts.
  • You’ve asked and we’ve delivered. Two new categories are here: Art and Travel.
  • Adding photos and videos when creating a post is now more consistent and reliable on both iPhone and Android.
  • The usual round of fixes and improvements.

Discover people and posts near you with the new proximity-based feed.

Discover page now lets you prioritise local and national content. See what’s happening close to you. Find new people to follow, posts worth a look, based on where you are. Add location to your post and people in your area will see it quicker.

Local. National. Global.

Want to only see content from people around you? Set it locally.

Prefer to experience a bit more, but still within your country? Switch to national.

Want to discover everything globally? Slide it all the way to the right and see the world.

Hashtags are in! You can now use them to mark topics in your posts.

Another long-requested improvement. You can now drop a hashtag into your post to tag it by topic, making it easier for people who care about the same things to find it—and for you to find posts like it. Combined with the new discovery feed, this is a big step toward Monnett helping you find your people faster.

You’ve asked and we’ve delivered. Two new categories are here: Art and Travel.

Two of the most requested categories are officially here. Whether you’re sharing your latest sketch or the view from your last trip, Art and Travel now have a proper home on Monnett.

Invite your friends and enjoy Monnett together. 🌸
