I Forgot My Monnett Password: How to Reset It and Get Back In
Published on September 23, 2026
Step 1: Open the app
Open the Monnett app. If you’re already logged out you’ll land on the main screen that will allow you to create a new account or log in. Choose the latter option.
Step 2: Tap “Reset password”
Underneath the password field, look for a “Reset password?” link. Tap it.
Step 3: Start the password reset process
You’ll be asked to enter the email address you used to sign up for Monnett or your handle. Type it carefully; a typo here is one of the most common reasons a reset email never arrives. Then confirm and you’ll be taken to the verification screen4420.
Step 4: Verify it’s you
Monnett will send you a verification email, usually within a couple of minutes. It will contain
- a verification code you’ll need to type into the app in order to proceed to setting up the new password.
If you don’t see it in your main inbox, check your spam, junk or promotions folder before assuming it hasn’t arrived.
Step 5: Choose a new password
After confirming your identity with the code you;ll be prompted to enter a new password. Remember that the password needs to be secure, so make sure it’s
- at least 8 characters long
- includes at least one special character (like !, ?, % or –)
If your new password doesn’t meet these requirements, the button to continue will stay greyed out until it does. Choose something you don’t reuse from another account, and consider a password manager so you don’t end up back here next month.
When you enter the new password, click on the “Save new password”.
Step 6: Log back in
Once your password is updated, you’ll be returned to the login screen. Sign in with your handle or email and your new password. You should be back in your account, with your feed, followers and messages exactly as you left them. Resetting your password does not delete or affect your posts, followers or conversations.
Still can’t get in? Common problems and fixes
No reset email arrives at all. Double-check you typed the email correctly and that it’s the same one your Monnett account is registered under. Wait a few minutes, check spam, and try requesting the email again. If it still doesn’t show up, your account may be registered under a different email than you expect, for instance an old address you no longer use.
You’ve forgotten the email address itself, not just the password. Try the email addresses you commonly sign up for apps with. If you truly can’t identify the right one, support can’t look it up for privacy reasons without other proof you own the account, so be ready to describe your handle, sign-up date, or other account details when you contact them (see below).
Nothing above works. Contact Monnett’s support team directly through the contact form. Include your Monnett handle (@username), the email you believe is linked to the account, and a short description of what happens when you try to log in or reset. This makes it much faster for the team to find your account and help you.
While you’re at it: turn on extra protection
Once you’re back in, it’s worth taking a minute to make sure this doesn’t happen again:
- Save your new password in a password manager rather than memory or a sticky note.
- Make sure the email address linked to your Monnett account is one you actually check and still have access to.
- Use a password that’s unique to Monnett, not reused from another site, as recommended in Monnett’s own password guidance.
Quick summary
- Go to Log in.
- Tap Reset password on the login screen.
- Enter the email linked to your Monnett account or your handle.
- Open the reset email with the verification code (check spam if it’s missing).
- Set a new password: 8+ characters, at least one special character.
- Log back in.
- Still stuck? Contact Monnett support with your handle and account email.
